It questions the notion of identity, doubt, ambiguity... and apprehends by certain aspects the power of genetics in the near future.
To trivialize this taboo of the representation of the sex, I diverted, the spirit of the plates of the books of botany and illustrated anatomy where all that is alive is "showable", because it is science. And, also the spirit of the works of lady, by the choice of the pink color, a "light" form some will say "feminine", putting at distance a priori the vulgarity.
It raises the social and cultural issue of the taboo on sexuality, source of serious problems of education of young people of our time.
Cette série de dessins de 2006 présente avec humour les aventures fictives d’une créature mutante, hybride mâle et femelle, humaine, animale, végétale, anthropomorphe…
Elle interroge la notion d’identité, le doute, l’ambiguïté…et appréhende par certains aspects le pouvoir de la génétique dans un proche avenir.
Pour banaliser ce tabou de la représentation du sexe, j’ai détourné, l’esprit des planches des livres de botaniques et d’anatomie illustrés où tout ce qui est vivant est "montrable", parce que c’est de la science. Et, également l’esprit des ouvrages de dame, par le choix de la couleur rose, une forme « légère » certains diront « féminine », mettant à distance à priori la vulgarité.
Elle soulève la question sociale et culturelle du tabou sur la sexualité, source de graves problèmes d’éducation des jeunes gens de notre époque.
